This beautiful gourd was recovered from a family who had to "downsize" in order to enter assisted living. Although the age of this gourd was unknown, based on its condition, it is thought to be several decades old. Once the gourd was conditioned and dyed with leather dye, it took up the leather dye to achieve this beautiful wood look. The rim is adorned with pine needles and secured with waxed cotton cord. Definitely a conversation piece
